About Us

Mike and Carole Sinclair started Archway Stores in 1991 in a tin shed behind what was Access 3 and Killkelly s TV shop. After 3 years they moved to a new purpose built shop, through the Archway beside Mick Byrne s Bar and Rings and Things on Main Street. It was extended a year later to become the present shop, with an entrance onto the Castle Street Car Park.

In 2001, due to increased demand, a new retail outlet and warehouse was opened on Sir Ernst Chain Road, on the Moneen Industrial Estate. It was conceived as a one stop shop selling everything from a needle to an anchor. The Stores carry a huge range of everyday products at heavily discounted prices, as well as many interesting, unexpected products, not often found elsewhere.

These hugely popular Discount Stores are an Aladdin s Cave of items and a wonderful place for the whole family to browse. Customers from far and wide frequently say that Archway Stores is their favourite shop. New stock arrives daily , so it s always worth a visit, and the friendly , experienced staff are always happy to give advice.
